Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information FitLoad collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and in plain language.
1. Who we are
FitLoad (fitload.ai) is a product of Scaling Reason LLC (“Scaling Reason”, “we”, “us”). Scaling Reason LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal data in connection with FitLoad.

2. Data we collect
- Account information: your name and email address.
- Fitness and health data: for example activities and workouts, heart rate, sleep, and training metrics from Garmin Connect. We access this data only after you explicitly authorize FitLoad to connect to your Garmin account, and only the data types you approve.
- Messages to the AI assistant: the questions and messages you send to FitLoad's AI coach, and the responses generated for you.
- Basic technical and usage data: such as device and browser type, IP address, log data, and how you interact with the app, used to keep the service running and secure.
3. How we use data
We use your data only to provide and improve FitLoad's features, for example to calculate training load, show trends and insights, answer your questions, and fix bugs.
To generate AI responses, relevant data (such as your messages and the training data needed to answer them) may be processed by third-party AI service providers. These providers process the data solely to generate responses for you on our behalf.
4. What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not share your data with third parties, except with service providers we need to run FitLoad (such as hosting and AI providers) or when required by law.
5. Storage and security
- Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
- Access to your data is limited to what is necessary to operate and support FitLoad.
- Backups are encrypted.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and will notify you if required by law in the event of a breach.
6. Retention and deletion
You can disconnect your Garmin account at any time, either from within FitLoad or from your Garmin Connect account settings.
When you disconnect your Garmin account or ask us to delete your account, we delete your Garmin-derived data within 30 days. Encrypted backups containing that data are overwritten on their regular rotation cycle.
To request deletion, email hello@fitload.ai from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Data deletion request.” We'll confirm once your data has been deleted.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@fitload.ai. We'll respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.
8. Children
FitLoad is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date above, and if the changes are significant we'll notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
